HIP HOP COMES OUT THE CLOSET

A NEWSWEEK exclusive article features the new title "Hiding in Hip-Hop: On the Down Low in the Entertainment Industry and exactly what that means for the world of hip hop/

The title was written by Terrance Dean, a former MTV staffer, who uses this new book as
a tale of life inside Hollywood's secret gay subculture, and hip-hop's place within that world. He doesn't go as far to name any names, but you internet savvy folks out there should have a ball on Google trying to piece together exactly who these prominent hip hop artists are who participate in this "underground" world. He says "There's a New York R&B singer who often opened for Jay-Z, caught the ears of Death Row Records and has worked on Broadway. A member of a rap group that changed hip-hop with its "philosophical rhymes over hard-core beats" who then went solo to achieve chart-topping success, eventually landing the lead in a movie. (He's also married.)"

Dean gives a detailed and R-rated account of the down-low life, gay sex parties and secret societies, where some of hip-hop's major artists openly sleep with men, only to go home to their wives and girlfriends at the end of the night.

Editor of Mediatakeout.com even verified that several times a week there a tips given to the black celebrity gossip site with news of this caliber but without the ability to prove any of the allegations, most of it doesn't make it to print.

This seems to me like a Confessions of a Video Vixen... with a twist. The title is on shelves now, so go cop you a copy if your all but curious about the undercover life of hip hop.
