KEYSHIA COLE PERFORMS AT JAZZ FEST

KEYSHIA COLE performed briefly for a drenched crowd of 100 to 150 people after lightening drove off the rest of the fans at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. After crowds waited for her performance, finally she did her thing on stage even though I'm still just not feeling the black hair on Key Lo Lo.

JLO SAYS NO MA'AM TO REALITY TV

Reports came out this week that Jennifer Lopez was set to do a new show for the TLC network which was to feature her entrepranual side as well as her mommy side, giving us a glimpse into life with Max and Emme and all that is JLO as well. People.com reports that

“The recent show Jennifer Lopez plans to produce for TLC is not a reality show,” says her manager, Simon Fields. “It’s a show that will track the creation, production and eventual launch of a new fragrance. Jennifer will appear in a creative, entrepreneurial capacity and will absolutely not feature her children and family life.”

I don't know how successful the show will be sans the twins, but hey I wish her will in the endeavor although I must briefly bring up her crash and burn reality series 'Dance life'. Hopefully this one does a little better.

LUDACRIS opened his new restaurant called Straits Atlanta with head chef Chris Yeo last week. His new business venture will serve Singaporean cuisine in the heart of the ATL.

ALICIA brings us a physical interpretation of her single 'Teenage Love Affair' via her new video which was inspired from Spike Lee's "School Daze". Leash gets her little courtyard step on and is looking cute as a button with her "around the way girl" earrings on and of course sporting the trademark Spike Lee cinematography here. I love it love it.....

MARIAH gives us a glimpse of her new video for the single 'Bye Bye' off her new album E=MC2. I will reserve my criticism for the full version but this preview didn't really tell me much of what I'm going to be seeing in this. But clearly, this is another baby tee, cutesy MC production... clearly.

TASTY VIDEO: RIHANNA 'TAKE A BOW'

RIHANNA's video for 'Take a Bow' just debuted on the Def Jam website this week. The video is quite simplistic in its concept but effective none the less. Rih Rih is looking quite flawless in this vid and I'm loving the simple black tank, clear gloss and jeans against the simple black background. And this chick can certainly wear red lipstick - I'll give her that.

GIRLICIOUS LIKE ME

The winners of the CW's reality show Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious...Chrystina, Nichole, Natalie and Tiffanie, uncover their first 2 singles, "Like me" and "Stupid Sh*!". I have to admit although I'm really not into the reality singing series thing ( and I must continue to reiterate that), the songs are pretty catchy dang it! I mean you cant go wrong with a Jazzy Pha shout out in your debut single. That alone is almost a little disappointing to admit. They've got a little flavor and some appeal and the 5 minutes I did watch of the show ( because it aired after ANTM) I did pick a couple chicas that I liked and they both ended up making the cut. I must say I have a flair for this kind of stuff.

VACATION HIATUS

Upon the arrival of my husband from his 15 month term in Iraq, we've emerged briefly from our vacation hiatus today and so having said that.... I am back!

So look forward to your daily dose of all the stuff that keeps you busy at work while your hardly working or whatever you may be up to during the day.
